Job summary

Erias Ventures, LLC seeks an Agile Developer for full stack cloud applications in Annapolis, MD. Responsibilities include designing, coding, debugging, and integrating Spring Boot microservices with modern datastores, while coordinating with the team on process standards.

Must have strong Java/React skills, cloud experience, and the ability to lead when needed. A Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related discipline.
• 9+ years of professional experience; or 7+ years with a related Master's degree.
• Experience in full stack cloud-based applications and microservices development.

Description

We are seeking an Agile Developer responsible for the full stack development of Cloud based applications and microservices. This developer should also have the ability to:

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements


• Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features


• Debug existing software and correct defects


• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments


• Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories


• Provide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards


• Develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards


• Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components


• Write or review software and system documentation


• Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas


• Serve as team lead at the level appropriate to the software development process being used on any particular project


• Modify existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance


• Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design


• Design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. 9 years or more of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Required skills:

• Java, JavaScript frameworks (React), Gitlab, Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, and modern datastores (NoSQL, Relational, Object).


• Cloud Experience: Shall have one (1) year demonstrated work experience with full stack development; front-end, API and backing datastores. Shall have demonstrated work experience with Spring Boot microservices, 12-Factor applications, serialization such as JSON and/or BSON and CI/CD pipelines.


• Ability to support on-call rotation

Desired skills:

• Familiar with: spring, Kubernetes, docker, Terraform, Swagger and AWS managed services. System Requirements decomposition, release planning, CI/CD, Test frameworks and automation, and Agile Methodology


• Familiar with FOSS & GOTS
