Job summary

DoorDash for Business Account Management team seeks seasoned Account Managers to drive growth with large enterprise customers in North America. You will shepherd revenue expansion through cross-sell, upsell, and new use-case initiatives while partnering with S&O, Analytics, and Product to unlock value.

Ideal candidates bring extensive experience managing complex enterprise clients, a track record of meeting quotas, and strong CRM/data analysis skills.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience managing complex enterprise clients.
  • Proven track record achieving revenue quotas through consultative selling, cross-sell/upsell motions.
  • Ability to identify whitespace within complex organizations and translate needs into scalable opportunities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in food delivery and/or SaaS preferred.

About the Team

Our mission is to promote growth in local economies by building connections with businesses across the nation and expanding access to the DoorDash platform. The DoorDash for Business Account Management (Post-Sales) Team is focused on expanding revenue and deepening strategic partnerships across our managed customer base through cross-sell, upsell, product adoption, and new use-case development. While customer health and retention remain foundational, this is a growth-focused team accountable for delivering incremental revenue.

Account Management is a fantastic stomping ground for employees to build both hard and soft skills, develop their relationship management and consultative sales skills, deploy strategic thinking to solve complex customer problems, and work collaboratively across functions as the conduit between customers’ greatest needs and the solutions we can build to address them.

About the Role

Account Managers are responsible for the strategic vision, growth, and optimization of programs for our largest corporate customers in North America. They are proactive, consultative, and solutions-oriented partners who consistently deliver against quarterly growth quotas through cross-sell, upsell, product adoption, and expansion initiatives. They retain and grow customer relationships and revenue across national markets, introducing new products and features while partnering cross-functionally with S&O, Analytics, and Product to unlock incremental business value and drive the DoorDash for Business business forward.

  • Be comfortable organizing and presenting quarterly business reviews, marshaling the right teammates and resources to achieve growth objectives and desired customer outcomes.
  • Show a strong bias to action and attention to detail to ensure customer needs are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner.

  • Have 6+ years of experience managing complex enterprise clients, ideally in a quota-carrying account management, customer growth, or consultative sales role.
  • Have a demonstrated track record of achieving revenue, expansion, or growth quotas through consultative selling, cross-sell/upsell motions, and strategic account planning.
  • Can identify whitespace within complex customer organizations and translate customer needs into scalable product, expansion, and revenue opportunities.
  • Have proven capability to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
  • Are an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Have the ability to analyze, pull, and coordinate data across multiple sources.
  • Have the ability to learn independently and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proactively inform teams of your workflow and raise your hand for special projects.
  • Actively seek guidance from peers and cross-functional partners, and both ask for and action feedback.
  • Know how to take broad challenges or opportunities and turn them into actionable projects with clear milestones and goals, with minimal guidance.
  • Have knowledge of CRM software, such as Salesforce.
  • Have experience in food delivery and/or at a SaaS company.

Compensation

Actual compensation within the pay range listed below will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. Base salary is localized according to employee work location.

In addition to base salary, the compensation for this role includes opportunities for equity grants and sales commission. Talk to your recruiter for more information.

See below for paid time off details:

  • For salaried roles: flexible paid time off/vacation, plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year.
  • For hourly roles: vacation accrued at about 1 hour for every 25.97 hours worked (e.g. about 6.7 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 3.4 hours/month if working 20 hours/week), and paid sick time accrued at 1 hour for every 30 hours worked (e.g. about 5.8 hours/month if working 40 hours/week; about 2.9 hours/month if working 20 hours/week).

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$127,840 - $188,000 USD

The total on-target earnings (base + commissions) for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.

$159,800 - $235,000 USD
