Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced Enterostomal Therapy nurse to develop and implement ostomy and wound care plans. The role focuses on educating patients and families, assessing needs, and coordinating discharge planning to promote outcomes and independence.

The position requires BSN, ET nursing program, and board certification or within one year of hire, with at least five years of medical-surgical experience. NJ RN license is required.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing.
• Completion of an approved enterostomal nurse program.
• Current ET nursing board certification or within 12 months of hire.
• Minimum 5 years medical-surgical nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Educates ostomy patients pre- and post-operatively.
• Assesses patients and families within 72 hours of enterostomal procedure.
• Provides ostomy care education to patients and families.
• Contributes to discharge planning and referrals as needed.
• Marks stoma site pre-operatively and supports skin integrity care.
• Rounds with units to monitor wound size and healing.
