Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Or equivalent educ/experience.
• Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• 2 years of Medical/Surgical Clinical experiences in an acute care setting with a special interest in Enterostomal Therapy.
• Graduate from an approved Enterostomal Therapy Education Program.
• Upon hire: Current Board Certification in Wound and Ostomy Nursing (Continence Nursing optional). If not currently Board Certified, must complete a certification program within 9 months of hire and become certified.

Responsibilities

• The ET Nurse provides inpatient and outpatient consultative, acute, rehabilitative, and maintenance services to patients with disorders of the GI, GU, and integumentary systems.
• ET nursing includes education, counseling, research, and administration.
• Role supports Providence St. Peter Hospital with patient-focused, whole-person care and collaboration with the care team.
