Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs' VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno is seeking a full-time Orthopedic Surgeon. The incumbent reports to the Service Chief of the Surgical Service and joins a team dedicated to Veteran-centered care.

Candidates must meet the Basic Requirements: US citizenship, MD degree, unrestricted medical license, successful residency training, and board certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must meet basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement.
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States.
• Residency training in an ACGME/AOA approved program leading to board eligibility.
• Board certification or eligibility as required for faculty status per VA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring orthopedic surgery.
• Provide consultation and care within the Department of Surgery for Veterans.
• Participate in on-call coverage as determined by Service Chief.
