Qualifications

• Registered or Certified Medical Assistant with six months of related work experience.
• Medical Assistant credentials must be obtained from in-person proctored exams (NHA, AAMA or AMT).
• Basic Life Support certification required (in-person proctored).
• Substitutions include RN/LPN or allied health training with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proof of MA certification/registration within six months of hire date will be required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients in clinic and perform clinical tasks (vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, medication verification).
• Prepare for office hours by organizing charts, tests, and exam rooms; assist with examinations and procedures.
• Administer medications under physician orders; vaccines as needed.
• Direct patient flow and manage communications; coordinate tests, appointments, surgeries, and follow-ups.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, OSHA standards, and accurate documentation.
