Job summary

Watson Clinic in Lakeland, FL seeks an LPN or Medical Assistant to provide basic medical and nursing care, ensure patient comfort, and support physicians with procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program and hold an active Florida LPN license.
• Experience in a medical facility as an LPN; gyn-oncology experience preferred.
• MA candidates must complete MA program and obtain MA certification within 90 days; BLS certification within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients by phone to assess needs and urgency.
• Administer medications including injections and document in medical records.
• Provide patient and family education on health topics and care plans.
• Identify emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Maintain accurate documentation in patient records per policy.
• Facilitate patient flow to support clinic efficiency and scheduling.
• Assist physicians with medical procedures and exams.
• Help coordinate hospital procedures and scheduling as needed.
