Job summary

Gersh Autism Academy seeks an Admissions Coordinator to guide families from inquiry through enrollment and start. This consultative, sales‑oriented role blends relationship building, program expertise, and disciplined follow‑through to move qualified families toward enrollment with empathy.

The position supports multiple school locations and requires regular travel among Gersh schools in West Hempstead, Hempstead, Queens, and Huntington, New York.

• Direct admissions experience in an educational setting.
• Consultative sales capability to move families toward enrollment.
• Strong critical thinking and quick learning ability.
• Resourceful problem solving with practical options.
• Creativity and adaptability in messaging and outreach.
• Relationship-building with families and referral sources.
• Ownership, accountability and results-oriented.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous record‑keeping.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient with Microsoft 365.
• CRM/database proficiency and tech-savvy mindset.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the family journey from inquiry through enrollment and first day with documented status and next steps.
• Respond to inquiries promptly and maintain consistent follow‑up.
• Conduct discovery to understand student needs and family priorities.
• Deliver compelling program presentations via calls, virtual meetings, tours, and events.
• Create a welcoming, informative family experience and build trust.
• Meet or exceed enrollment goals across timeframes.
• Advance qualified families through applications, screenings, decisions, contracts and starts.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and forecast enrollment activity.
• Collaborate with campus partners and manage cross‑campus communications.
