Job Description

The enrollment counselor plays a pivotal role in assisting prospective students with their applications and providing comprehensive guidance regarding program inquiries. They also support enrolled students awaiting Mentor assignments by addressing any questions or concerns.

Important: This is a paid remote student-employee position. Incumbents must reside in Utah or Idaho, be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, and be attending a Church Education System school (BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Ensign College, BYU, BYU-Idaho, BYU-Hawaii) during employment. Students are expected to work 20 hours per week, Monday through Saturday, between 6 AM MST and 10 PM MST.

Responsibilities
  • Guide prospective students through the application process with clarity and accuracy.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective and enrolled students regarding program details and admissions requirements.
  • Support enrolled students awaiting Mentor assignments, offering assistance and reassurance.
  • Document interactions with students thoroughly.
  • Use the Knowledge Base to provide accurate and clear information.
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, and visual means.
  • Deliver timely assistance to meet student needs efficiently.
  • Handle complex situations with empathy, patience, and expertise, especially with domestic students.
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve enrollment processes and student experience.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or current enrollment in PathwayConnect.
  • Current CES student at one of the following institutions: BYU-Pathway Worldwide, Ensign College, BYU-Idaho, Brigham Young University, or BYU-Hawaii (residing in Utah or Idaho). Students on F-1 or J-1 visas must be enrolled at Ensign College.
