Job summary

Broward College in Fort Lauderdale seeks a Specialist, Admissions & Registration (North Campus) to collect and review applications, transcripts and documents for admission eligibility. Under limited supervision, you will maintain files, verify residency, and ensure accurate progression of files through the admissions process.

You will respond to inquiries, coordinate with other departments, and prepare routine correspondence.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; equivalent combo of experience and education may be considered.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office; ability to manage records and data entry.
• Ability to respond to inquiries and provide guidance on admissions policies.

Responsibilities

• Review admissions applications and supporting documents for eligibility.
• Verify residency classification and process applications.
• Create and maintain manual and computerized records; manage logs and filing systems.
• Handle data entry and generate internal reports.
• Respond to inquiries via phone and in person regarding admissions policies and documents.
• Coordinate with other departments to resolve day-to-day admission issues.
• Prepare routine correspondence and documents related to admissions and petitions.
