Job summary

Texas State Technical College in Texas is seeking an Admissions Advisor to support applicants through the admissions process and help place Texans into high-paying jobs. You will work under the Team Lead of Admissions, coordinating internal and external outreach to attract applicants and guide them toward program choices.

The role requires travel up to 25% of responsibilities, with occasional overnight trips and some nights/weekends possible.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or equivalent required.
Enrollment/Admissions experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

Advise prospective and current applicants on programs aligning with career goals.
Guide applicants through the admissions process and ensure all requirements are met.
Assist with FAFSA and financing options for students.
Manage a caseload of applicant inquiries and provide personalized advisement.
Collaborate with Veteran Services, Financial Aid, Registrar, Student Operations and Enrollment to enhance the admissions experience.
Maintain and report on monthly engagement targets and admissions objectives.
Perform general admissions and administrative duties, including document collection and quality review.
Travel up to 25% of responsibilities; occasional overnight travel up to 5%; nights and weekends may be required.
