Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional tax preparation experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Active Enrolled Agent credential or valid PTIN.
• Proficiency in Drake Tax software or willingness to learn.
• Experience preparing a variety of individual and business tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of federal tax laws and Arizona tax requirements.
• Ability to independently prepare returns from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare federal and state tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates.
• Prepare amended returns, extensions, and estimated tax calculations.
• Review financial records and K‑1s for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify deductions, credits, and tax‑saving opportunities.
• Respond to client questions and IRS/state notices; explain tax matters clearly.
• Maintain organized client files and documentation.
