Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Enhancements Crew Member to join the installation team in Portsmouth, VA. You will perform landscape installation tasks, including grading, hardscape work, and site preparation, following plans and supervisor directions to ensure timely, quality results.

The role involves operating equipment (skid steer, excavator, backhoe) and handling chemicals according to regulations, with emphasis on safety, organization, and teamwork. Pre-employment checks may apply.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

• Assists in loading and unloading equipment, tools, and supplies on truck.
• Performs all job-related tasks safely and efficiently and uses all tools and equipment per safety policy.
• Keeps job site, vehicles, trailers, warehouses and offices safe, clean and organized.
• Informs supervisor of problem areas on site, equipment or supply issues, or any accident or loss.
• Complies with company policies, procedures and safety requirements.
• Works to assure quality and timely completion of all tasks assigned.
• Participates in training programs as required.
• Performs other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
• Able to read architectural drawings

• Dependable; consistently arrives to work on time, responds to management direction and commits to the required hours for job completion that will vary based on weather/season.

• Effectively communicates with others, with the ability to read and/or comprehend written and verbal instructions/information. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Accountable; demonstrates dependability in attendance and timeliness, and carefully follows directions and instructions provided.
• Solutions-oriented with the ability to apply feedback to improve performance.

Education & Experience

• 2+ years of experience in landscape enhancements.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Holds, at a minimum, a State Technician and/or Applicator license per local requirement.

Pre-Screen

• Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background and/or MVR check.

License & Certifications:

• Driver's License Preferred, but not required
