Job summary

Balance-of-Nature in Utah seeks a part-time English tutor to work one-on-one with students aged 10–16 in a homeschooling setting. You will build a custom curriculum, foster reading and writing skills, and guide discussions to develop critical thinking and clear expression.

You will tailor lessons to each student’s level, track progress, and collaborate with parents to support growth. Flexible schedule and home-based environment.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in English, writing, and communication; a related degree is highly preferred.
• Previous experience tutoring, teaching, homeschooling, or mentoring students ages 10–16.
• Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly and engage students in meaningful discussion.
• Creative, patient, dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a creative, enthusiastic English educator who loves helping young people become confident readers, writers, and communicators. This is a unique opportunity to work one‑on‑one with students ages 10–16 in a homeschooling environment where you’ll have the freedom to build lessons, explore ideas, and make English meaningful.
