Quest Forward High School, a cutting-edge private school in West Central Omaha, is looking to add an English teacher for the 25-26 school year. Our student-focused, project-based model takes place in a small class environment. Our skills-based approach to work requires students to produce projects that demonstrate mastery; allowing teachers to focus on and create a deep learning, problem-solving curriculum. The part-time English Teacher will play a vital role in shaping a rigorous, engaging, and supportive learning environment where all students can thrive. As a teacher at Quest Forward, you will have the opportunity to participate in the building of a strong English and Literature program that fosters both conceptual understanding and real-world application.
Reporting to the school director, with regular coaching from the schools Associate Director, Teaching & Learning, the English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, collaborating with colleagues to align curriculum and instructional practices, leveraging student data for continuous improvement, and helping students develop the skills and confidence needed for success in high school and beyond. This role is ideal for an educator who is deeply knowledgeable in English, skilled in engaging students of diverse backgrounds, and excited about being part of an innovative school model that prioritizes academic excellence, student agency, and college readiness.
Additionally, the English Teacher will teach one period of introductory drama and/or theater - we believe there are a number of ways to make this an interconnected class that compliments the English course and goals.

Salary is currently budgeted in a range competitive with local district expectations.
The expected start date for the position is late July 2025, with onboarding and professional development before the school year begins to ensure a successful founding year.
