The successful candidate will possess a master's degree in English or a closely related discipline and demonstrate strong technology skills. This flexible role allows for negotiation of work location based on teaching methodology and availability.
The A. Linwood Holton Governor's School is seeking applicants to fill a part-time Dual Enrollment English teacher vacancy. The Governor's School works with Southwest Virginia's four community colleges and 17 school divisions to provide dual enrollment courses to motivated and talented high school juniors and seniors. The Governor's School's English classes are taught as asynchronous virtual classes using Canvas learning management software provided by the school. The school is based at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in Abingdon, VA. However, work location is negotiable since virtual classes.
Summary of Qualifications:
Reports to: Director of the A. Linwood Holton Governor's School
Pay will be based on the A. Linwood Holton Governor’s School adjunct pay scale.
