English Teacher - Benfica Residential Academy at Saint Leo University

This world-class residential soccer academy (coeducational, grades 9-12) is located at the state-of-the-art campus of Saint Leo University (founded in 1889) and is dedicated to the development of youth soccer players. Benfica Residential Academy provides a comprehensive and balanced emphasis on both athletic and academic excellence to develop youth soccer players for the highest competitive levels in the world. As the academic partner in this unprecedented model, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic High School is seeking an experienced, full-time English teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
Applicant must be committed to the ministry, philosophy, and goals of Catholic education; have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English or related field; possess a valid Florida Department of Education Professional Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in English (grades 6-12); and demonstrate proficiency with instructional technology. A Master’s degree and teaching experience in all levels of high school English, including Advanced Placement, are preferred. Familiarity with standards-based assessment, classroom technology integration using Chromebooks, and the ability to teach Journalism or other high school subjects would be advantageous.
