Anticipated Start Date: August 27, 2025

Reports to: Principal

Responsibilities

1. Provide instructional programs that promote students' development of skills and knowledge in the content area assigned: High School English Language Arts.
2. Demonstrate effective command of classroom technology that supports student learning.
3. Work as a contributing member of the English Department and School Community.
4. Help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their education.
5. Create a program of study and a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth.
6. Establish effective rapport with pupils to develop the skills, attitudes, and knowledge necessary to become successful individuals in accordance with each pupil's ability.
7. Establish positive relationships with parents/guardians and staff members.

Qualifications/Education

• A valid Massachusetts Department of Education Educator's license in HS English.
• Strong and versatile academic background in HS English.
• Three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Approved CORI and Fingerprinting results.
