A leading church in Ellicott City is seeking an English Ministry Assistant Pastor to work closely with the Lead Pastor. Responsibilities include preaching and leading ministries aimed at nurturing a dynamic community. Ideal candidates should have a completed M.Div, agreement with Westminster Standards, and extensive ministry experience within a Reformed context.
English Ministry Assistant Pastor: Bethel Church – English Ministry
The English Ministry Assistant Pastor will work closely with the English Ministry Lead Pastor to shepherd the congregation through:
-Participating in the English Ministry Pastoral Staff Team
-Preaching for the English Ministry Worship services as needed (about 6-10 times a year)
-Leading various adult ministries within our English Ministry
-Assisting in other areas of the church when called upon and if able
An ideal candidate has:
-Completed M.Div from accredited seminary
-Agreement with the system of doctrine presented in the Westminster Standards
-Ordained or seeking ordination in a Reformed and Presbyterian denomination (NAPARC)
-Christ-like compassion and character
-5+ years of ministry experience in leading or overseeing various areas within a Korean American and/or English Ministry context (shepherding various age groups, preaching and teaching, overseeing worship and praise team, small groups, discipleship, missions)
An ideal candidate has a heart for:
-Gospel-centered ministry and pastoral care
-Team ministry
-Ministry to the current and next generation within a Korean American and Korean immigrant church setting

Bethel Korean Presbyterian Church in Ellicott City, Maryland is a Korean immigrant church located in the suburbs of Baltimore and Washington D.C. Founded in 1979, Bethel Church has been a long-standing witness of the gospel in the Baltimore suburbs.
Bethel subscribes to Westminster Standards and all of our full-time pastors are ordained in Reformed denominations. Our average Sunday English Ministry adult attendance is over 300 and has been growing. The English Ministry has our own elders and deacons and maintains a healthy partnership with the Korean Ministry. Most of our congregation are connected through either our small group or life stage ministries
