The Illinois Association of School Administrators seeks two instructors to deliver basic English and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education to adult learners in Illinois. One position runs daytime 9 a.m.–3 p.m., and the other serves evenings at Smithfield Foods in Monmouth, IL, with additional time for meetings and development.
Responsibilities include in-person and online instruction, implementing ICCB plans, and helping learners build literacy, workplace, digital, and life skills
This role has two openings. One role will be during the day, while the other will fulfill their responsibilities at Smithfield Foods in Monmouth, IL, during the evening.
Daytime- The work hours for the daytime position are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday per 200-day ROE Calendar, plus additional hours as determined by the Director of Adult Education for staff meetings and professional development. The schedule is subject to change with ROE demands.
Smithfield- The work hours for this position will be subject to the shift times to enable students to participate in class prior to their regularly scheduled shift, or as approved and assigned by the Director of Adult Education, per 200-day ROE Calendar, plus additional hours as determined by the Director of Adult Education for staff meetings and professional development.
This position is responsible for providing instruction on basic English skills and Integrated English Literacy and Civics Education to classes and individual students in the adult education program. Instruction will consist of an in-person class, as well as additional time to support online learners. This position is responsible for carrying out and documenting the necessary components for implementing the “ICCB Adult Education and Literacy Work Plan” that includes the goals/objectives, as well as key activities that need to be carried out to meet the deliverables from the grant(s).
These roles will provide English-language instruction and student support services within the Adult Education program, helping adult learners develop literacy, workplace, digital, and life skills while progressing toward educational, career, and personal goals.
