Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is hiring an English Language Development Teacher for the ELEVATE/ACE program. The role focuses on accelerating language acquisition and academic performance through differentiated, data-driven instruction within a structured Elevate model.

The position reports to the Campus Principal and offers salary tiers based on experience: $75,000 (0-2 yrs), $79,000 (3-4 yrs), $81,000 (5+ yrs) with 212 duty days and exempt status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certificate appropriate for grade level and/or subject area required.
• Teaching experience and experience with diverse student populations preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to student maturity.
• Prepares lessons with accommodations for individual differences.
• Maintains records and prepares progress reports as required.
• Communicates objectives and expectations for lessons, units, and projects.
• Employs varied instructional techniques and media to meet diverse needs.
• Assesses student progress and refers where needed for evaluation.
• Maintains order and professional relationships; participates in meetings and committees.
