Job summary

Berlitz Language Center is seeking a language instructor to deliver engaging lessons and support student goals at the Learning Center, offsite locations, or virtually.

You will conduct level assessments, perform needs analyses, and maintain accurate student records while collaborating with the Academic Specialist for ongoing coaching and development sessions. Strong communication and native fluency are required.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the US.
• Four-year college/university degree or equivalent.
• Native fluent in the language(s) to teach.
• Exceptional communication skills in English and the native language.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible working hours and daytime availability.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Ability to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
• Comfortable using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lessons according to Berlitz teaching principles aligned to student goals and interests.
• Conduct level assessments and needs analyses.
• Teach private and group students at Learning Center, offsite locations, or virtually.
• Meet with Academic Specialist for lesson evaluation and coaching.
• Participate in training and professional development modules and live sessions.
• Maintain up-to-date student pedagogical and attendance records.
• Integrate learning technology into teaching programs.
• Maintain shared teaching resource materials.
• Perform additional duties delegated by the Service Delivery Manager or Academic Specialist.
• Provide student support in accordance with Berlitz teaching and customer service principles.
