Qualifications

• MA in English (or cognate discipline considered)
• Two years of full-time experience teaching collegiate-level English courses
• Doctoral degree in English (preferred)
• Experience teaching in a dual-credit environment (preferred)
• Experience teaching English at the high school level (preferred)
• Five years of full-time college English teaching experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Represent and serve as an extension of 1818 faculty liaisons via classroom observational visits with regular travel locally, regionally, and out-of-state
• Share observations and feedback with liaisons to support evaluation of faculty performance
• Meet with faculty liaisons to support teacher professional development and academic quality
• Coordinate review of new faculty applications and communications of results
• Review 1818 Program course syllabi and communicate results to partner teachers
• Maintain syllabi, evaluation records, and professional development records for all 1818 English course faculty
• Serve as an ambassador during on-site visits and information sessions for students, parents, teachers, and administrators
• Participate in 1818 Office strategic planning and English Department events and professional development
• Teach one section of an English course offered via the 1818 program at least once every three academic years (optional)
