JOB DESCRIPTION

Writing Program Teaching Associate invites students to apply to a Teaching Associate position to serve as instructor of record for a section of Introduction to Literature. Hold regular office hours. Attend weekly meetings during the duration of appointment.

Wage/Salary: $3,894 per term ($649 monthly based on 8 hours a week)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
• Bachelor’s degree; meet all eligibility requirements per the Student Employment Policies; enrolled in one of the English department’s graduate programs and are in good academic standing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Open to current Stanislaus State students, currently enrolled or eligible to enroll only.

CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CLEARANCE NOTICE

The university requires a criminal and/or child abuse background check to be completed for many of its new employees, current employees seeking promotional or transfer opportunities, and current employees assigned new duties. Satisfactory completion of a background check (including a criminal records check) is required for employment.
