Courses Offered:

• ENGL-118N: English Composition
• This course enhances writing skills focusing on the writing process, rhetorical analysis, essay development, organization, style, flow, grammar, mechanics, and APA formatting. It uses models like professional and student essays for practice. Reading is emphasized as key to writing success.
  Prerequisite: Placement results determine eligibility.

• ENGL-148N: Advanced English Composition
• This course builds on composition techniques, emphasizing argumentation, persuasive techniques, critical thinking, and research skills. It involves the full writing process, including peer workshops.
  Prerequisite: ENGL-118N.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in English or a closely related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in English coursework
