English as a Second Language (ESL) Coordinator

Part time: August – November and January – April

Holy Name of Jesus Parish is seeking a Coordinator for the adult English as a Second Language (ESL) program. The Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and follow-up for the Fall and Winter Adult English sessions.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruiting/retaining 6-8 volunteer teachers
2. Registering 50+ students
3. Overseeing morning and evening classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays during two 11-week sessions

The ideal candidate must work well independently, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for working with immigrants. Knowledge of Spanish is helpful.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have an ESL certificate plus teaching experience.
