Germanna Community College is a two-year public institution of higher education in the Virginia Community College System. Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in the designated discipline/field of study to students from a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. We are seeking someone who is able to teach English both in-person and online. Adjunct faculty are employed to teach up to 12 credit hours in the fall and spring semester and/or up to 8 credit hours during summer session. Teaching load is based on student enrollment and staffing needs. The adjunct faculty contract contains no expectation or guarantee of continued employment.
This posting is intended to establish a pool of qualified adjunct candidates for anticipated instructional needs for 2027. Actual hiring and course assignments are contingent upon enrollment, scheduling demands, program needs, and funding availability. As a result, there may or may not be positions filled from this posting.
This position is located in Virginia. Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance or be willing to relocate to ensure consistent, reliable attendance.
