This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.As part of a small and agile engine test team, you will provide manufacturing engineering support for component development and acceptance test campaigns for rocket engines. Your day-to-day work will center on developing and releasing work instructions for hardware swaps and daily test operations, managing test plans, tracking hardware configuration and inventory, and documenting non-conformances — all to keep test campaigns moving safely and efficiently.Beyond daily operations, you will research and develop improved methods, tooling, and systems to increase test cadence and reliability. You will define and support test article maintenance, inspection, and repair activities, provide technical direction to on-site technicians, and interface with cross-functional partners including design engineering, test operations, and supply chain. Your contributions will directly support the development, qualification, and flight of Blue Origin's world-class rocket engines.**Special Mentions*** Location: Huntsville, AL* This role requires regular presence in test and build environments* Relocation provided* Travel expected up to 10% of the time* Shifts available: 1st Shift, 2nd Shift**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:*** Develop and manage work instructions and test plans for daily test operations, test article maintenance, and other test-related activities.* Provide technical direction to technicians for hardware removal, replacement, and other hands-on activities.* Provide general test and hardware assistance as needed, including supporting test setup activities.* Define and support test article maintenance, inspection, repair, and rework activities between and throughout test campaigns.* Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the test process.* Ensure necessary hardware is on hand for upcoming and recurring test activities, including helping develop and maintain critical spares lists.* Review, evaluate, and disposition non-conformances; when escapes are identified, deploy recovery strategies, perform root cause analyses, and execute corrective actions.* Research and develop improved methods, tooling, and systems to increase test cadence and reliability.* Drive improvements in tooling, safety, and quality affiliated with the test process.* Apply engineering fundamentals and manufacturing knowledge to troubleshoot operational issues.* Support cost, quality, and schedule management of hardware throughout the test process**Minimum Qualifications*** (0-3 years Level I Engineer, 3+ Level II Engineer, 5+ Level III Engineer, 8+ Sr Level Engineer) of relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or test environment.* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university* Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing* Hands-on experience in hardware manufacturing (i.e. maintenance, assembly and integration, instrumentation, cleaning, leak testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, fabrication and machining, and manufacturing execution systems/software)* Successful track record of completing testing/manufacturing projects* Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, scheduling, issue tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)* Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at all levels of an organization* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships.* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum* Must be eligible and able to gain access to Redstone Arsenal**Preferred Qualifications*** Aerospace or propulsion testing experience* Pressurized fluid systems experience* Experience working with Bill-of-materials and BOM reconciliation* Prior manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace or automotive**Culture Statement**Don’t meet all desired requirements?
