Job summary

Lincoln University provides instructional guidance for the US Army Corps of Engineers Prime Power School at Fort Leonard Wood in St. Robert, MO.

The Supplemental Instructor will support Prime Power School students through collaborative study sessions and guided learning activities to enhance student understanding and performance. This is a full-time, year-round, in-person position reporting to the Dean of Graduate and Extended Studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or closely related field.
• US Citizen and successful background check.
• Experience with instructional support or teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Prime Power School students needing remedial help.
• Plan and facilitate regular study sessions to supplement lectures.
• Create an interactive, inclusive environment for learning.
• Learn Prime Power School curriculum, lessons, and assignments.
• Design problems and review guides aligned to course objectives.
• Use instructor materials and course content in sessions.
• Assess progress and identify remediation needs, adjusting instruction accordingly.
• Maintain communication with Prime Power School instructors and leadership.
• Provide feedback on session effectiveness and student struggles.
• Track attendance and report to instructors and leadership.
• Demonstrate professionalism and abide by military/university rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
