Job summary

Generac Power Systems is seeking an Engineering Technician IV to conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests on current and new product designs under supervision. You will participate in continuous improvement, problem containment, and ensure test requirements are defined and met.

The role requires a High School Diploma and about 10 years of relevant experience, with attention to documentation, 5S practices, and collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 10 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and products in proper sequence per procedures.
• Perform tests on prototypes, existing, and competitor products for mechanical, electrical, environmental, and electromechanical functions per ISO 17025 and internal scope.
• Use various measurement devices to collect data and ensure accurate documentation.
• Interpret and document measurements like temperature and pressure.
• Assist in assembling and fabricating test equipment per blueprints.
• Follow bill of materials guidelines and maintain related documentation.
• Support manufacturing through troubleshooting and 5S/lab audit activities.
• Prepare formal and informal test reports.
