Job summary

Generac Power Systems Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician III in Wisconsin to conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests under close supervision.

You will contribute to continuous improvement and ensure test requirements are met while supporting lab audits and 5S initiatives. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, testing prototypes and existing products, documenting results, and assisting with bill of materials and manufacturing troubleshoot tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience performing electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests.

Responsibilities

• Set up test equipment and products per testing procedures.
• Perform tests on prototypes, existing and competitor products for mechanical, electrical, environmental criteria per ISO 17025.
• Use various mechanical, electrical, and electronic measurement devices.
• Accurately interpret and document measurements such as temperature and pressure.
• Assist in assembly and fabrication of test equipment and prototype products.
• Follow guidelines for bill of materials.
• Support manufacturing through troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain test-related documentation and assist with lab audits and 5S.
