Job summary

Eddie White Middle School in Hampton, GA is seeking an Engineering/Technology Teacher to blend practical experiences with academic rigor and guide students through technology education.   • Evaluate academic and social growth of students, prepare report cards, and keep appropriate records as necessary.
  • Provide for safe storage and proper use of materials, equipment and tools.
  • Establish and maintain standards of student behavior for a productive learning environment.
  • Evaluate each student's growth in knowledge and skills in the course being taught.
  • Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress.
  • All other duties, as assigned and required, in order to perform the above services.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will provide instruction that emphasizes the blending of practical experiences, technical expertise, and academic rigor; and ensure that students complete coursework in general education, professional education, and technology education. The instructor will define the current status of engineering design experiences in engineering and technology education; will build leadership capacity by developing a collaborative network of scholars who work to improve understanding of the process of learning and teaching of engineering design in technology education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
