Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an engineer to identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems, while planning and monitoring work activities to meet business goals. The role requires preparing precise technical reports and sketches with guidance and conducting engineering studies.

Ideal candidates will continually improve their technical knowledge and collaborate effectively across teams, maintaining accurate records and representing the company professionally in all interactions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant industry experience with a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 4+ years with an Associate degree, or 6+ years with no degree.
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience with a BS in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 6+ years with an Associate degree, or 8+ years with no degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology (Desired)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Experience in the utility industry
• Able to effectively apply basic principles of project management
• Experience using Maximo/BOUD
• Experience in dealing with diverse populations

Responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise
• Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities
• Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches with some guidance
• Conducts engineering and related studies
• Strives to continually improve job‑related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
• Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
• Maintains accurate records and files
• Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally
