The Engineering Technologist I position is the entry-level role for non-engineer degreed technical support, focusing on developing technical expertise and providing oversight under supervision. The Engineering Technologist II is a higher level, handling more complex problems with less supervision and developing deeper technical skills.
Engineering Technologist I: Associates degree in Engineering Technology or High School/GED plus 4 years related experience.
Engineering Technologist II: Associates degree plus 2 years related experience, or High School/GED plus 6 years related experience.
Hybrid work environment post-onboarding, with reasonable commute to designated Duke Energy facility.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse backgrounds, good communication skills, and relevant education or experience as specified for each level.
