Duke Energy is seeking an Engineering Technologist III to provide technical expertise and leadership in a defined area of electric distribution. This role handles more complex problems with limited supervision and develops advanced skills toward independence, including some field work at sites or plants.
Candidates should have strong written and oral communication, utility industry exposure, and basic project management.

This is the third level of the non-Engineer degreed technical support role job classification.
Engineering Technologist III provide technical expertise to solve more complex problems and leadership skills to high oversight and direction of work in a specific area of expertise, with limited supervision. Incumbents are expected to develop advanced skills and the ability to work with a high degree of independence.
Some business units may require visits to field sites and/or plants.
Direct experience within electric distribution.
25-50%.
