Genuen is seeking an Engineering Technologist to work as a full-time, non-exempt member of the operations team. The company specializes in test automation services, test systems, and product solutions for highly regulated industries such as military/aerospace, transportation, and commercial avionics. Located in Lenexa, KS, with offices in Albuquerque, NM, and Saginaw, MI, this on-site position is based in Albuquerque, NM.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Engineering Technologist will assist in fabricating, assembling, and integrating test systems. Responsibilities include assembling, modifying, maintaining, and repairing electronics equipment and systems to ensure proper operation. Key duties include:

1. Replacing defective components using hand tools and precision instruments.
2. Setting up and operating test equipment to diagnose and analyze electronic components and systems.
3. Performing hardware and software test procedures and interpreting results.
4. Identifying and resolving equipment malfunctions.
5. Performing preventative maintenance and calibration.
6. Maintaining design, testing, and operational records.
7. Assembling circuitry based on engineering instructions and specifications.
8. Inspecting newly installed equipment for operational issues.

Qualifications

1. Associate degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
2. At least 8 years of hands-on technical experience.
3. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly instructions.
4. Proficiency with electronic fabrication tools and basic test equipment.
5. Understanding or certification in IPC 620 / J-STD-001 is a plus.
6. Active DOE “Q” or DoD Top Secret security clearance is required.
7. Occasional travel may be necessary.
