Job summary

Surry Community College in Dobson, NC seeks an Engineering Technologies Teaching Assistant to provide laboratory instruction, maintain labs, and support instructional materials across Automotive Systems and related programs.

This 12-month, full-time position reports to the Director of Engineering Technologies and requires an associate degree, strong Microsoft Word/Excel skills, and excellent communication; experience in an educational setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or related field) and proficiency in MS Word/Excel; strong communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize office duties; effective oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide laboratory instruction and instructional support for Engineering Technologies courses.
• Maintain and inventory laboratory equipment and safety practices.
• Assist with Moodle course materials, grading, attendance, and student support.
• Prepare and submit attendance records, grades, and related documentation.
• Support program planning and assessment activities.
