Overview

We’re hiring Engineering Technicians | Construction Inspectors of all experience levels!
CTL Engineering (www.ctleng.com) is a full-service consulting engineering firm with 16 locations across OH, IN, WV, KY, VA, NC, and SC, with over 98 years of experience. We provide civil/site design, land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, and more to the construction industry.

Role and Responsibilities

• Perform construction engineering technician services, including concrete testing, rebar inspection, and other building materials testing for vertical construction projects.
• Inspect and report on construction works such as concrete pours, rebar placement, and soils.
• Assist engineers during soil and material investigations.
• Ensure tests and inspections comply with standards, project specifications, and contract documents.
• Perform lab testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt.
• Maintain project records and communicate non-conforming work to contractors or engineers.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School, Tech/Trade School, or Associate degree; relevant experience is a plus but not required.
• Interest in vertical construction; prior exposure is a plus.
• Knowledge of construction, materials, and testing principles is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable record.

Additional Details

• Project sites mostly within 60-90 miles of Columbus.
• Company truck provided or use personal vehicle with reimbursement.
• Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift; some Saturday work possible due to weather or project needs.

Physical and Certification Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Certifications such as ACI Grade I are preferred but not required.
