Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD) in Ridgecrest, CA seeks a specialist to lead radiographic operations for ordnance test and evaluation, including x-ray of ordnance and energetic items, data analysis, and safety protocol compliance.

You will collaborate with engineers and scientists, maintain radiographic equipment, contribute to SOP inputs, interpret images, and prepare reports for team leads and customers.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will work in a team environment for the Ordnance Test and Evaluation Division to perform nondestructive testing, equipment and facility maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.
• You will be responsible for leading radiographic operations, including x-raying ordnance and energetic items, analyzing imaging data, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• You will collaborate with engineers and scientists, providing technical guidance, and maintaining radiographic equipment.
• You will provide inputs to SOPs on current tests/operations and will support proper integration of future test procedures as required.
• You will be responsible for interpreting x-ray images and documenting the results
• You will will be required to safely conduct explosive and industrial operations, work in accordance with test procedures, monitor test setups, and provide reports to team leads, project engineers, and customers.
