Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on electronics manufacturing, test, troubleshooting, or engineering support.
• Soldering and reworking through-hole and surface-mount assemblies.
• Read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings.
• Troubleshoot circuits with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and test equipment.
• Diagnose PCB defects, missing components, damaged traces, and electrical failures.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and laboratory skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and English communication skills.
• Willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering teams in prototype assembly, product development testing, and evaluations.
• Build and modify test setups for characterization, environmental, and reliability testing.
• Support collection, analysis, and documentation of test data.
• Configure lab instrumentation including scopes, power supplies, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and environmental chambers.
• Assist in evaluating new electronic, electromechanical, and detector designs.
• Support design verification and qualification testing.
• Manufacturing & Test Equipment Support: assemble, configure, test, and troubleshoot X-ray detectors and electronics.
• Debug PCB assemblies and electronic systems to identify issues.
• Perform board configuration changes, firmware loading, calibration, and verification.
• Assist production in resolving technical issues affecting quality and throughput.
• Failure Analysis & Sustaining Engineering: diagnose and repair customer returns and failures.
• Root cause investigations on electronic, mechanical, and system-level issues.
• Support corrective and preventive action activities.
• Document troubleshooting findings and recommended actions.
• Assist in implementing and verifying design improvements.
• Support reliability, quality, and field performance efforts.
• Maintain lab equipment, test stations, and fixtures.
• Develop and update work instructions and test documentation.
• Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance records.
• Inventory management of lab and test equipment.
• Participate in 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with quality systems and safety procedures.
