Job summary

AHEAD is seeking an Engineering Technician Lead to guide a team of engineering service technicians and act as project manager for service projects. Responsibilities include testing, BOM maintenance, part lifecycle monitoring, ECNs, and EOL transitions where applicable.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration within the engineering organization, with a focus on delivering high-quality service projects and reliable hardware support.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience building, assembling, and integrating computer components into systems.
• 3 years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• 3 years of leadership experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the engineering technician team on processes and best practices.
• Be an active member on the engineering leadership team.
• Manage individual development plans for technicians.
• Lead project schedules and milestones for engineering service projects.
• Oversee validation and performance testing efforts.
• Create department work instructions and train new employees.
• Participate in hiring and termination processes as needed.
• Create and manage SLAs to monitor team performance.
• Provide production support through a ticketing system.
