Job summary

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This role supports engineering tests, data collection, and system validation across network and server platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in an Engineering Technician capacity, a two-year degree or equivalent, and active TS/SCI clearance. Proficiency with Windows/Linux environments and COMSEC equipment is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance.
• Two Year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Technician.
• Experience with COMSEC Equipment.
• Experience in Windows/Linux OS installations, troubleshooting, and diagnosis.
• Knowledge of validation and automation principles.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze network design.
• Test and troubleshoot server validation platforms.
• Provide technical support for engineering.
• Conduct experimental testing to collect data.
• Review test results and upload data to repositories.
• Troubleshoot validation platforms to yield desired results.
• Communicate results and flag gating issues.
• Build, configure and test server validation platforms.
• Install various PC operating systems and software.
• Configure/test network KVMs and power distribution units.
• Other duties as assigned.
