Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, equipment assembly, testing, or related technical environments.
  • 3+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electromechanical, semiconductor, or manufacturing equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing engineering, or process development environments.
  • 2+ years of experience training technicians, creating work instructions, or supporting process standardization initiatives.
  • Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot newly developed semiconductor equipment using mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical work instructions.
  • Support NPI activities by identifying manufacturability concerns and bill of materials discrepancies.
  • Create problem reports, inspection instructions, and technical documentation with engineers to drive resolution.
  • Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to collect data and perform real-time system adjustments.
  • Execute semiconductor process and laboratory workflows accurately and consistently.
  • Train and mentor technicians and support implementation of new processes and systems.

What You'll Do
  • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot newly developed semiconductor equipment using mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and technical work instructions.
  • Support new product introduction activities by identifying manufacturability concerns, fit and function issues, and bill of material discrepancies.
  • Create problem reports, inspection instructions, and technical documentation while partnering with engineers to drive resolution.
  • Use diagnostic software and testing equipment to collect operational data and perform real-time system adjustments.
  • Execute semiconductor process and laboratory workflows accurately and consistently.
  • Train and mentor technicians, share best practices, and support implementation of new processes and systems.
  • Perform safety inspections, document hazards, and support a safe working environment.
  • Maintain cleanroom standards while adhering to PPE and operational requirements.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, engineering technician, equipment assembly, testing, or related technical environments.
  • 3+ years of experience assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing complex electromechanical, semiconductor, or manufacturing equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, technical instructions, and engineering documentation.
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing diagnostic software, data collection tools, and testing equipment to support equipment performance analysis.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), manufacturing engineering, or process development environments.
  • 2+ years of experience training technicians, creating work instructions, or supporting process standardization initiatives.
What Sets You Apart
  • Experience working directly with advanced semiconductor process equipment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn and effectively utilize laboratory and operational software systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, software, and system-level issues.
  • Experience creating problem reports, inspection procedures, and technical process documentation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing quality systems, process control methodologies, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments and following strict contamination control procedures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, rework activities, and production demands.
Additional Information
  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check.
  • Overtime: May be required based on production schedules and business needs.
  • Lifting Requirements: Must be able to safely perform equipment assembly and installation activities and work with components at heights ranging from 12" to 71".
  • Work Environment: Semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom environment requiring PPE, including bunny suits, safety glasses, gloves, masks, face shields, and safety footwear.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and work shifts of up to 12 hours as needed.
  • Schedule: A-Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM PST.
