Job summary

Valkyrie Enterprises in Norfolk, VA seeks an Engineering Technician II to support installation, testing, and upgrades of electrical and electronic systems on shipboard platforms. The role requires hands-on wiring, soldering, and equipment maintenance skills with adherence to NAVSEA standards.

Expect tasks covering testing, troubleshooting, and use of technical drawings and manuals. Occasional travel to Hampton Roads shipyards and eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance are involved.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent; 3+ years as Trades/Engineering Technician I.
• Cableway Improvement Certification and Multi-Pin Connector Certification.
• Knowledge of power tools, shipboard operations, and NAVSEA standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Install/remove/upgrade electrical/electronic tasks and test connections.
• Perform system testing to evaluate performance and functionality.
• Use drawings and manuals to install, remove, or upgrade systems.
• Comply with safety, inspection, and access requirements; may perform fire watch.
