Job summary

Entegris' Billerica site seeks an Engineering Technician to join the Manufacturing Operations team, reporting to the Operations Manager. The role supports the APS Liquid Filtration assembly process, driving initiatives to increase output, reduce scrap, and ensure quality and safety in all steps.

The incumbent will work with production and senior engineers to improve efficiency, troubleshoot equipment, and contribute to DOE trials, scale-ups, and training programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience operating/maintaining mechanical manufacturing equipment or equivalent education/experience.
• Proficiency in equipment maintenance/repair and basic understanding of motors, pneumatics, and production machines.
• Ability to interpret Statistical Process Control charts at a basic level.
• Strong knowledge of safe work practices and ability to support safety improvement initiatives.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email.
• Flexibility in schedule to meet manufacturing/development needs, including on-call availability and travel within the US.
• Associate degree preferred; HS Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in projects to improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives (on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction).
• Ensure seamless operation of machinery and equipment by promptly addressing equipment and processing issues.
• Provide technical troubleshooting guidance to Operators and report occurrences to Engineers.
• Assist in root cause investigations, identifying and implementing corrective actions.
• Work with teams to identify problems, analyze information and develop and implement process solutions.
• Assist in product disposition and failure analysis.
• Drive productivity in the manufacturing process by identifying opportunities to enhance safety, quality, yield, efficiency, and/or cost.
• Assist Process Engineering in DOE trials, product scale-ups, and equipment installations & qualifications.
• Provide comprehensive process and equipment training to Operators; document updates to Work Instructions and checklists.
• Prepare presentations and training materials as needed.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and coordinate with Planning to minimize downtime.
