Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Engineering Technicians 2/3 for the Rocket Center, WV on-site to support analytical work, data collection, and engineering documentation. You will operate analytical instruments, manage hazardous materials inventories, and assist with testing and data analysis in a dynamic defense environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma with 2–4 years of relevant experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and willingness to work off shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of relevant work experience (Level 2).
• High school diploma and 4 years of relevant work experience (Level 3).
• Must be willing to work off shifts and weekends.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Experience working in an analytical lab.
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Understanding of energetics, hazardous chemicals, and solvents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily operations of analytical instruments to ensure accurate data collection and analysis for research purposes.
• Perform audits of hazardous waste inventory to ensure safety compliance and accuracy.
• Handle energetic and hazardous materials daily.
• Cover off shifts and weekend operations.
• Operate computer systems and manage database entries.
• Maintain records of explosive inventory and ensure limits across facilities.
• Perform standard analytical methods and mixing operations for QC/engineering evaluation.
• Carry out mathematical calculations and data judgments.
• Provide technical support across multiple disciplines.
• Monitor instrument calibrations.
