Reporting to the Construction Project Manager, the Engineering Technician II performs advanced technical work in both field and office environments, supporting a wide range of highway and bridge construction projects.
This position involves construction inspection, surveying, drafting, and quality control responsibilities. The Engineering Technician II serves as a Resident Construction Inspector on assigned projects, ensures compliance with plans and specifications, monitors traffic control setups, performs surveying and data collection, assists with hazardous waste handling, and prepares technical drawings using CADD software. This position works closely with contractors, consultants, and other engineering staff to ensure safe, accurate and efficient project execution.
The salary range is $32.10 to $44.60 (10 steps) per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
