Chipton-Ross, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our Newport News, VA team. The role provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks and helps produce documentation, drawings, and analyses.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate's Degree (or equivalent) with 1 year of related experience, and can substitute Navy Nuclear Power School or an Apprentice Certificate for the degree. This on-site position offers opportunities in aerospace/defense projects.

Job Description

Chipton-Ross Inc. is seeking an Engineering Technician for an opening in Newport News, VA

Responsibilities

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Requirements

• o Associate's Degree and 1 year of experience. 2 years of related experience can be substituted for Associate's degree. 4 years of non-related experience can be substituted for Associate's degree. An Apprentice Certificate or graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School can be substituted for Associate's degree.
