Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. has an immediate need for an Engineering Technician II for a 12+ month contract in Round Lake, IL. This onsite role involves performing a variety of laboratory tasks, data recording, and instrument calibration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred.
• 0 years experience; training provided may be offered.
• Basic lab techniques and data recording essential.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• May observe, analyze data and interpret results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory levels; write experimental reports and protocols.
• Develop and maintain record keeping for experiments performed; calibrate instruments as needed.
• Perform routine assembly and testing portions of projects; ensure tasks are completed.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Engineering Technician II. This is a 12+months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Round Lake, IL (Onsite).

Pay Range: $25 - $28/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• The incumbent will perform other duties assigned.
• Responsible for performing a wide variety of research and/or development laboratory tasks and experiments.
• May make detailed observations, analyze data and interpret results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and inventory levels for laboratory supplies. May write experimental reports, summaries and protocols.
• May also develop and maintain record keeping for experiment performed. Perform limited troubleshooting and calibration of instruments.
• Individual usually is assigned routine assembly and testing portions of projects (e.g. Product performance and software script testing).
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Key Skills;Basic laboratory techniques and procedures, Data recording and documentation, Basic data analysis and interpretation, Laboratory equipment handling and maintenance, Basic troubleshooting and instrument calibration, Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email, data entry).
