TriVector Services, Inc. in Huntsville, Alabama, seeks an Engineering Technician II to support our Electrical Fabrication and Test Facility. Responsibilities include fabrication of avionics hardware, PCB and harness assembly, and electrical testing in both open shop and clean room environments.

The candidate will work with pre-approved procedures and adhere to NASA and IPC standards, including ESD guidelines. US citizenship is required, with overtime as needed to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Knowledge of space flight hardware.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and design drawings.
• High school Diploma required.
• One year related experience or an Associate Degree in technology.
• Overtime will be required.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication of avionics hardware in Electrical Fabrication and Test Facility.
• PCB assembly, box assembly, cable and harness fabrication, electrical testing.
• Adhere to pre-approved procedures and NASA/IPC standards including NASA-STD-8739 series, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC WHMA-A-620 with Space Addendum.
• Maintain Electro-Static Discharge guidelines.
• Work in open shop and clean room; perform precision assembly.
• Total commitment to schedule and overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

This position provides support to the Electrical Fabrication and Test Facility by primarily performing fabrication of avionics hardware. Duties include printed circuit board assembly, box assembly, cable and harness fabrication, and electrical testing as required. These activities dictate the understanding and adherence to pre-approved procedures. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Electrical Fabrication & Assembly.


• Hand Soldering.


• Printed Circuit Board Population.


• Electrical Cable Harness Assembly.


• Polymeric Applications: Potting, Staking, and Conformal Coating.


• Box Level Assembly & Wiring.


• Complete and maintain certification to relevant NASA and IPC standards including but not limited to NASA-STD-8739 series, IPC J-STD-001 and IPC WHMA-A-620 with Space Addendum.


• Adherence to Electro-Static Discharge guidelines


• Perform precision and general assembly in the open shop and in an environmentally controlled clean room.


• Work overtime as needed to complete work on schedule.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• US Citizenship is required.


• Knowledge of and work experience with Space Flight hardware.


• Familiarity with and ability to read electrical schematics and design drawings.


• Must have a high school Diploma.


• Must have one year experience in a related technical field in Electrical Fabrication, Test, and Assembly involving vehicles, systems, subsystems, and/or components or an Associate Degree in a technology field.


• Overtime will be required.
